  • $\begingroup$ @Kratos-We in the West self-limit our understanding of science's history. BUT don't forget the contributions to methodology in science by the Ancient Chinese and the Indians!! They were experimenting--and conquering--at or before the Knights of Olde were fighting over maidens. I recommend Question # 2343 "Is the Sci Method uniquely Western? $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ @Kratos-There are those who contend that while other nationalities were involved in science, it was the Christian doctrine of the existence of an Intellectual God who created an Orderly Universe, that made scientific research, if not possible, but certainly more understandable, because it was logically and rationally discernable. This was why the Universe is called Cosmos and not Chaos. $\endgroup$
