$\begingroup$ @Kratos-We in the West self-limit our understanding of science's history. BUT don't forget the contributions to methodology in science by the Ancient Chinese and the Indians!! They were experimenting--and conquering--at or before the Knights of Olde were fighting over maidens. I recommend Question # 2343 "Is the Sci Method uniquely Western? $\endgroup$– user18391Commented Jun 21, 2023 at 21:41

$\begingroup$ @Kratos-There are those who contend that while other nationalities were involved in science, it was the Christian doctrine of the existence of an Intellectual God who created an Orderly Universe, that made scientific research, if not possible, but certainly more understandable, because it was logically and rationally discernable. This was why the Universe is called Cosmos and not Chaos. $\endgroup$– user18391Commented Jun 21, 2023 at 21:50

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. biographical-details), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
