Mercer's MMB team is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Hong Kong office:

Business Development Executive

What can you expect?

  • Business Development plays a key role in the ongoing growth of the company through new revenue, by researching demand trends, identifying prospects and executing plans to acquire new clients.
  • As an entry-level individual contributor, a Business Development Executive is ready to apply the knowledge acquired via an advanced education and to start to develop professional skills with the help of a manager and more experienced team members.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist with the onboarding and training process of new sales professionals
  • Ensure the availability of proper sales training initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain sales process adherence with sales representatives.
  • Create and maintain sales team procedures, training manuals and sales-related resource materials.
  • Market intelligence and research support. Implementation of sales methodologies and best practices.
  • Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business.
  • Monitor the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization.
  • Recommend revisions to existing reports or assist in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
  • Assist Sales Leader with sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes used within the sales organization.
  • Create monthly content for executive presentation and reporting.
  • Lead management (including leads allocations from inbound enquiries).

What you need to have:

  • University degree in a related discipline or other relevant qualifications.
  • 1-2 years' experience in administration, preferably from a client servicing industry. Fresh graduate is also welcome.
  • Strong track record in client and vendor management.
  • Self-initiative and curiosity in insurance/ health sector.
  • Self-motivated to seek out knowledge, test ideas and ways to contribute to the team.
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with team members.
  • Strong language skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
