According to data from the Health Bureau in #HongKong, about 1 out of 10 adults suffers from #diabetes in this city.  With the mission to improve the #health and vitality of the community we serve, Cigna Healthcare Hong Kong has been supporting our NGO partner “Angel of Diabetic” in their community health outreach program for over 10 years, to support their effort in offering a variety of free services to people with diabetes and their families, and to raise awareness of the disease. As of now, over 300,000 individuals benefited in approximately 400 community roadshows. Last month, the NGO team extended their outreach program to the “Hong Kong Health Expo 2024”, providing free blood screenings to the local community and helping individuals identify diabetes at early stage. #CignaHealthcareHongKong #CignaHealthcare #Cigna #PreventiveCare #Diabetics

As #PrideMonth ended last week, we introduced more ways to deepen employees’ understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and promote inclusivity. Our employees showcased their understanding of LGBTQ+ culture and history through a quiz game. A texture painting session was also held to unleash the creativity of our people. Through dialogues, we engage all to celebrate our differences in backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, and experiences.   At Cigna Healthcare Hong Kong, we take an expansive view of #diversity - which includes people of different races, ethnicities, nationalities, disability, sexual orientations, gender identity, and more. The event marks the first-ever #HYROX Asian open contest, which will take place at the Asia World-Expo in #HongKong from 23 to 24 November. Hyrox combines running and functional fitness into a global competition that is accessible to both amateur and experienced athletes. As part of our #PrideMonth celebrations, we were pleased to host a special LGBTQ+ and Allyship workshop for our staff members with trainers from Mind HK 香港心聆 last week. Through in-depth discussions and engaging dialogue, our staff members gained deeper understanding into the mental health challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. Practical tips were also shared by the trainer, to help our employees understand the importance of acceptance, affirmation, and inclusion of different individuals in coping with mental health distress.
