About the Role:
As a System Administrator at Costamare, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of our IT systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, Azure, networking devices, and end-user devices. We need someone who is not only proficient in system administration but also a power user of applications related to maritime and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365 and Azure Management:
Oversee and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Ensure secure and streamlined user management, focusing on access controls and permissions.
On-Premises Servers, Networking, and End-User Devices:
Manage and maintain on-premises infrastructure, including servers, storage, Microsoft AD domain servers, etc.
Manage and maintain networking devices (routers, switches, etc.).
Administer end-user devices, ensuring security and performance.
Application Support:
Act as a power user for various maritime applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues.
User Training:
Develop and conduct training programs to enhance user proficiency.
Create comprehensive documentation for system usage and best practices.
Day-to-Day Support:
Provide IT support to office staff and vessel crews.
Respond promptly to IT service requests and incidents.
Vessel Visits:
Periodically visit vessels to provide on-site IT support and address technical issues.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies during vessel visits.
Qualifications:
University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, networking devices, and end-user device management.
Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train users of varying technical proficiency.
Willingness to travel and eligibility for on-board vessel visits.
Prior experience in a shipping company environment is a plus.
