The Role:
Join our rapidly expanding Innovation Center in Ioannina, Greece, as a Junior IT Consultant. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in delivering top-notch IT solutions that span customer support, system monitoring, platform analysis and log analysis. Collaborating closely with your team members, you'll tackle new challenges head-on and contribute to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as part of the collaborative IT team.
· Administer and optimize databases to ensure peak performance and reliability.
· Implement Linux-based solutions to drive system enhancement and productivity.
· Deliver exceptional customer support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
· Monitor system health and performance, taking proactive measures to maintain stability.
· Carry out platform and log analysis to identify opportunities for optimization.
Qualifications:
· Hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
· Fluent in English, fostering seamless collaboration in an international setting.
· Ready for occasional travel for team meetings and project-related activities.
Skills and Experience:
· Possess solid Linux knowledge, capable of configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing.
· Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL).
· Understand networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, and Firewalls).
· Excel in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork within cross-functional environments.
We will appreciate if you have:
· Basic knowledge of German.
· Basic understanding of web and application servers (Apache, Wildfly).
· Knowledge of logging and monitoring systems (icinga, Grafana, Prometheus)
· Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
· Experience with Windows services including Microsoft SQL and Active Directory.
· Good Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting purposes.
· Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible.
