Σήμερα το πρωί, ο Πρόεδρος Κωστής Φραγκούλης, συνοδευόμενος από την Α' Αντιπρόεδρο Δανάη Μπεζαντάκου, τον Γενικό Γραμματέα Χρήστο Τιμαγένη και τον Πρόεδρο της Ναυτιλιακής Επιτροπής, Έντυ Βαλεντή, επισκέφθηκαν το Υπουργείο, όπου πραγματοποίησαν συνάντηση γνωριμίας με τον νέο Υφυπουργό Ναυτιλίας & Νησιωτικής Πολιτικής, Στέφανο Γκίκα, κατά τη διάρκεια της οποίας ενημέρωσαν για την ιστορία, τους σκοπούς και τις δράσεις του Propeller, ενώ συζήτησαν θέματα που αφορούν τη συνεργασία Ελλάδας-Αμερικής στη ναυτιλία. This morning, President Costis Frangoulis, along with 1st Vice-President Danae Bezantakou, General Secretary Christos Timagenis, and Maritime Committee Chairman Eddie Valentis, visited the Ministry, where they held an introductory meeting with the new Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy, Stefanos Gkikas. During the meeting, they provided an overview of the Propeller Club's history, purposes, and actions, and discussed issues related to the Greek-American cooperation in shipping.

This year's AMVER Awards Gala Dinner will take place on 20 December 2024 at 19:00 at the Ballroom of the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel. The International Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus in cooperation with the Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece will offer one full scholarship (100% of the tuition fees) for the MSc in Shipping Management program and one partial scholarship (50% of the tuition fees) for the MBA with Shipping for the academic year 2024-2025. The deadline for applications has been extended to July 12th, 2024. Interested applicants should complete and submit their application as soon as possible to Alba's Admissions Office: admissions@alba.acg.edu

The event was organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR) and the North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA), in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Athens, the Propeller Club Port of Piraeus and the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping.   President, Costis Frangoulis, participated in the Shark Tank Event, along with Erik Holmgren, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the United States of America, Nikolaos Bakatselos President, American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, George Alexandratos, Vice President, Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, Panos Xenokostas, President & CEO, ONEX Shipyards & Technologies Group / President, Hellenic Shipyards Association, Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO, Enterprise Greece, Semiramis Paliou, CEO, Diana Shipping / Chairperson, HELMEPA & INTERMEPA and Stephen Schueler, Chairman of Green Transition, Managing Director, and COO, European Maritime Finance, Chairman InerFuel, Carbon Advisiors and Vikand.   A truly inspiring, interactive one-day Forum that showcased the ongoing collaboration and innovation within the maritime industry.
