MIT Loyalty Circle donors set a philanthropic example for other
donors and play a vital role in the success of the Annual Giving program.

Membership
Membership in the MIT Loyalty Circle (previously known as 1861 Circle) begins once a donor makes a third consecutive annual gift and is maintained through ongoing annual philanthropic support. Gifts of any amount to any area of MIT count toward your Loyalty Circle membership.

Benefits
All Loyalty Circle donors receive the following benefits:

  • Online honor roll of donors
  • Special communications from the Loyalty Circle chair
  • Milestone communications at 10, 25, and 50 years of consecutive support

Infinity Status
Infinity status is an exclusive status reserved for alumni who have supported MIT with an annual gift every year since their graduation. You can gain Infinity status by making a gift during your senior year or in the first year after graduation.

  • To maintain Infinity status, you must support MIT with a gift during every subsequent fiscal year. Unfortunately, once Infinity status is lost it can never be restored.
  • Only 12 percent of annual donors have Infinity status.
  • All donors with Infinity status are recognized with an infinity symbol in our online honor roll.

Infinity donors give at all levels, to many areas of the Institute. Their perfect giving record makes them part of a very select group of alumni, and their generosity has an impact on students and faculty year after year.
