CSS examples style question: should we not use transitions if not all values support them? #486

In #485, @danielhickman pointed out that the transition isn't applied for all switches between values. In cases like this, should we omit the transition-all class?

I'm tempted to think we should omit it but would like to know what others, such as @schalkneethling , think.
