Defragment exactly what you want to
Click the drive you want to defragment, and then click the big Defrag button. If you want to save some time, there’s also Quick Defrag. You can defragment an entire file, a folder, or a single file. Tell Defraggler to search for files of a particular size or type. Or tell it to exclude files by name, file type, or other criteria.

Defragging multiple drives
It is not possible to defrag multiple drives at the same time.

Once you select a drive, Defraggler shows you the interactive drive map: a visual representation of how the space on your hard drive is filled (or empty).
By default, empty space on your drive is represented by white boxes (the size of each box depends on the size of your drive and how big the Defraggler window is). Blocks of the hard drive containing files are red (if they are fragmented) or blue (if they are not fragmented).

You can set up Defraggler to run automatically in the background, by setting up a scheduled task:
- From the main window, select Settings, and then click the Schedule option.
- Select the drive you want to schedule Defraggler to defragment from the Drive drop-down box.
- Check Schedule defragmentation for chosen volume.
- In the Period area, choose how often you want Defraggler to run (once, daily, weekly or monthly) or when (at Startup, at Logon, when idle).
- Select the date and time when you want Defraggler to start.
- If you want to add a scheduled entry for another drive, repeat Steps 3 to 6, selecting the new drive from the Drive drop-down box.

1. Run the program and simply select the drive and press the Analyze button to get started.
2. When the analysis is finished it will display a visual drive map and a summary of how fragmented the disk is.
3. You can click on the drive map blocks to view what files are saved on a specific part of the disk.
4. The search function allows you to only defragment the files you need to.
5. Selecting files from the file list will highlight them on the drive map. You can then defrag them by checking them and clicking the Defrag button (or use the right-click menu).
