LNG in the UAE 🇦🇪 👏 At TotalEnergies, we are proud to announce our participation in the Ruwais LNG project 🚢 with a 10% interest, joining forces with ADNOC Group (60%), Shell (10%), bp (10%), and Mitsui & Co., Ltd.(10%). 👉 Launched by ADNOC in June 2024, the Ruwais LNG project is set in Al Ruwais Industrial City, Abu Dhabi. This project features two liquefaction trains, boasting a total capacity of 9.6 million tons per year. Start-up is set for the second half of 2028. 🤔 What sets this project apart? ➡️ The commitment to sustainability. The full-electric liquefaction trains will be powered by clean energy from the UAE’s grid, positioning #RuwaisLNG as one of the world’s lowest-carbon intensity #LNG plants. Ichthys is impressive, that’s for sure! 👏 💡 What is it exactly? Ichthys is one of the world's most complex liquefied natural gas (#LNG) projects off the coast of Australia! 🇦🇺 TotalEnergies is proud to be a major partner with INPEX Corporation with 26% in the Ichthys project. How does it work? 👉 The 250 meters deep in the waters of the Browse Basin, where gas and condensate are extracted from the Ichthys field. The central processing facility (CPF), weighing a staggering 120,000 metric tons, separates gas and liquids. The condensate is sent to the Ichthys Venturer, a 336-meter floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO), where it's processed, stored, and exported. 📍 Where is it at? The Bladin Point plant in northern Australia is equipped with dedicated infrastructure for liquefied petroleum gas (#LPG), plays a pivotal role in processing the gas into liquid form. The result? A big leap for green hydrogen 🪂   TotalEnergies and Air Products have announced they have signed a 15-year agreement for the annual supply in Europe of 70,000 tons of green hydrogen starting in 2030. 👏   ➡️ This major long-term deal follows TotalEnergies’ call for tenders for the supply of 500,000 tons per year of green hydrogen to decarbonize its European refineries by 2030.   Under the agreement, TotalEnergies’ Northern European refineries will ♻️ receive green hydrogen from Air Products’ global supply network 👏 avoid around 700 000 tons of CO2 each year This deal is a stepping stone towards the Companies’ ambition of decarbonizing the hydrogen used in its refineries in Europe by the end of the decade.
