High-fidelity CFD in exceptional turnaround times
À propos
ProLB, previously called LaBS, is an innovative Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software solution developed by CS GROUP. Based on the Lattice-Boltzmann method, its successfully-validated solver performs inherently transient simulations of highly complex flows with a competitive turnaround time. ProLB‘s accurate aerodynamic and aeroacoustic modeling allows engineers to make early design decisions that optimize and shorten the product development process.

This is a good opportunity to join the research activities linked to ProLB : our partner M2P2 launches a call for 4 PhD and 4 post-doctoral candidates !
Call for PhD & post-doctoral candidates (4+4) at Laboratoire M2P2, Marseille. I was recently awarded the industrial chair Liberty, cofunded by the French Research Agency (ANR), Airbus, Fives-Pillard and Safran. As part of the project, I am looking for high-level PhD and post-doctoral candidates. Liberty is a collaborative effort in the field of computational fluid dynamics applied to the development of new H2 technologies. It aims at developing efficient Lattice-Boltzmann Methods (LBM) for the high-fidelity simulation of multi-species and multi-physics flows in realistic industrial applications such as aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, aerothermal and reacting flows. Join an active team in Marseille !

Congratulations to Mostafa for this impressive result performed with ProLB. Do not hesitate to contact us or the M2P2 team if you are interested in such advanced simulations. #LBM #CSGroup #CFD #M2P2
Glad to share the last part of my Ph.D. published two days ago in the "international journal of thermal sciences" titled "Large eddy simulation of fire-induced flows using Lattice-Boltzmann methods" LES of helium plume was performed to investigate the near field dynamics. Afterwards, a large methane fire was simulated using the eddy break up combustion model. The ProLB code was used to carry out those simulations, it is an LBM pressure based solver with an HRR kernel. The work was done in the Laboratoire M2P2 in Marseille, France, under the supervision of Pierre Boivin, Aymeric Lamorlette, JEAN-LOUIS CONSALVI and Song ZHAO. The article is free to download for 50 days. https://lnkd.in/eKGBWqyJ

Memory footprint reduction, merging the compute functions to reduce the number of GPU kernel calls, fine-grained data selection to minimize the data exchanges between processes : these are some key points to benefit the GPU computational power. All this has been done in ProLB in collaboration with Europe’s leading HPC experts in SCALABLE. Thanks to Jayesh for highlighting this work at #SC23. #HPC #CFD #SCALABLE #GPU #LBM
