💥We are excited to share that Eviden Romania participated in the 5th edition of the Macos Conference - the International Conference on Mathematics and Computer Science. Organized by the 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 at Universitatea Transilvania din Brașov, this event gathered university professors and experts from around the world to discuss and share the latest advancements in mathematics and computer science. 🎤 An interesting moment from the conference was highlighted by our colleague Silviu Dumitrescu, Senior Solution Architect, who delivered a presentation on: 𝙄𝘼𝙈 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙨. 📅 On June 29-30, we participated in 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, from West University of Timisoara in Romania. The event brought together over 100 participants from universities and high schools for the "Capture The Flag" competition. 🏆 🎤 @Bogdan-Costel Irimia, Offensive Security Lead at Eviden Romania, spoke about the importance of proactive vulnerability identification and how offensive security techniques can prevent cyber attacks, in the panel 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝. 🔒 Congratulations to the winning teams! 🚀 Exciting collaboration in the Netherlands! Two groups of talented students from Fontys University of Applied Sciences partnered with Eviden to work on innovative projects led by our colleague Hans van Drunen, centered around a game designed as part of General Enterprise Architecture (GEA).   We also had the pleasure of discussing other fascinating projects with enthusiastic students, including:   Jackal Robot: A robot capable of safely observing buildings. Self-Driving Car: Built for the RDW Self-Driving Challenge. Stolpersteine App: An app guiding users through routes that commemorate individuals who perished in the war.   After a day of creativity and innovation, we enjoyed a well-deserved drink with appetizers. A special moment was when Hans received a certificate from the grateful students, appreciating his guidance and Eviden’s support. Huge thanks to all the passionate students from Fontys and to the amazing organization. 🚨 The horrific opioid epidemic was worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming 110.000 American lives last year. The lack of real time, aggregated data was blocking effective community and first responder interventions.    🌟 This is exactly the reason for Eviden to partner with the University of Texas to develop TxCOPE, a comprehensive digital solution for overdose reporting and prevention. This innovative platform unites local organizations, enabling real-time reporting and resource management, and offers comprehensive dashboards for decision-makers.   🚑 TxCOPE has already saved lives, notably during a mass overdose incident in Austin, Texas, by facilitating rapid response and resource mobilization. Eviden plans to expand this life-saving technology nationwide through the "Connecting Overdose Prevention Efforts" program.
