As Business Controller for the Global Freight Forwarding Line of Business you will report to and closely work with the Director of Controlling & Reporting and assist him on the various tasks of the department.
You will act as a key business partner for Top management and country teams. Your day-to-day will consist in working with various internal stakeholders in Finance, Sales and Operations teams located in France and across the world.
You will take part in the achievement of the business growth and conversion ratio target for the Global Freight Forwarding line of business by analyzing customer profitability, activity, risks, and costs.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Customer tenders
Coordinate the Tender process which involves multiple stakeholders (Global Account managers, Business Controllers, Legal team, etc.)
Build the forecasted P&L and present it to the Top Management
Customer performance analysis
Challenge status-quo and provide insights on performance to the Freight Forwarding Top management
Understand the bottom-line performance calculation (allocation rules) and be the owner of all Business Intelligence Reports
Participate in ad-hoc analysis
Contribute to monthly reporting material
Business Intelligence
Create, standardize, and improve reporting, in close collaboration with the BI team
Proactively present suggestions for process/business improvements and assume accountability for implementation of relevant initiatives
Maintain Customer Master data
Ensure data quality control
Special items
Calculate customer incentives
Assess the right sizing of our salesforce
Assist Top Management in decision making
Be the Global Freight Forwarding Finance transformation referent on Customer topics
Graduate with a Master's Degree specialized in Finance with 3-year successful working experience in audit (Senior) and/or within a finance control department.
You should demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills. You are Data- and Business Intelligence-oriented and can build strong collaborative relationships across all levels of Finance and the wider operational business and interact with Top Management.
Fluent English is mandatory to communicate with stakeholders located worldwide.
