The Club of Rome has coordinated a call to action with two of the Systems Transformation Hub partners –Climate-KIC and Metabolic –as a reminder that the European Green Deal is Europe's North Star for an ambitious and equitable transition pathway - even more relevant today than at its time of adoption. Among the many inspiring initiatives, we'd like to highlight two projects: ID Genève Watches and CompPair. 🔹 ID Genève Watches: as a pioneer in ethical and sustainable watchmaking, ID Genève is redefining the standards of the watch industry. Their watches are made from recycled and recyclable materials, and their production follows rigorous ethical practices. ID Genève demonstrates that luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand, offering exceptional quality products without compromising our planet. 🔹 CompPair: this Swiss company is revolutionizing the composite industry with its self-healing materials. CompPair develops composites that can repair themselves within minutes when damaged, reducing the need for replacements and extending the lifespan of products. Their innovative solutions are applied in sectors ranging from aerospace to sports, providing a sustainable and economical alternative to traditional materials. These two initiatives perfectly illustrate how innovation can serve sustainable development.
