[🎬 Replay of the keynote of Stephan Hadinger, CTO France at Amazon Web Services (AWS), at the Adopt AI #Summit by Artefact] on safety first - generative AI under high protection. 👉 Watch and get inspired by Stephan Hadinger on the Tech stage: https://lnkd.in/dven_baB 📃 Read the REPORT of #AdoptAI with the replays & synthesis of all CEOs keynotes & key discussion panels: https://lnkd.in/e8yj2CeN 💼 Stephan Hadinger is an alumnus of the prestigious École Polytechnique. Before joining AWS, he served as Chief Architect for cloud computing and led various initiatives in APIs, security solutions, and IT infrastructure for both B2B and B2C organizations. He is known for his strategic vision and practical approach to solving complex technological challenges, making AWS a trusted partner for many enterprises. 🔎 Hadinger discussed AWS's extensive #AIexperience, focusing on generative AI's challenges and security measures. Over two decades, AWS has gained valuable insights and continuously improved. The probabilistic nature of #generativeAI, which produces varied outputs from the same inputs, presents unique accuracy and security challenges, necessitating rigorous standards. 💡 He addressed concerns about AI #accuracy, #security, and cost, especially the risk of hallucinations in sensitive fields like HR and legal. AWS offers tailored #AImodels to ensure customers select the best fit for their needs. He assured that AWS keeps customer data private and encrypted, using advanced security measures to prevent unauthorized access and comply with extraterritorial laws. 🗣 “Your data is private. It’s encrypted every time and we never use it. We have built a system that prevents any AWS employee from accessing your data or connecting to the server. This technical impossibility ensures your data's security and protects against extraterritorial laws”, says Stephan. He concluded by explaining how AWS uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (#RAG) to combine generative AI with actual #data, minimizing hallucinations and ensuring accuracy. AWS safeguards against toxic content by filtering inappropriate questions. He also highlighted AWS's commitment to #intellectualproperty protection and described using generative AI in Amazon One for palm recognition, showcasing AI's role in enhancing security. ➡ Discover all the Adopt AI replays: https://lnkd.in/eDxHcR47

[🎬 Replay of the discussion with Octave Klaba, Founder and President of OVHcloud, at the Adopt AI #Summit by Artefact] on the cloud adoption of AI. Questions by Damien GROMIER, Partner at Artefact and CEO of Artefact Open Innovation. 👉 Watch and get inspired by the President of OVHcloud on the Vision stage: https://lnkd.in/eDwvaVJA 📖 Read the REPORT of Adopt AI with the replays & synthesis of all CEOs keynotes & key discussion panels: https://lnkd.in/e8yj2CeN 💼  Octave Klaba is the founder and chairman of OVHcloud, a leading global cloud infrastructure provider offering web hosting, dedicated servers, and cloud solutions. He studied at Icam - Institut Catholique d'Arts et Métiers in Lille, where he developed his engineering expertise. In 1999 he founded OVH, which has grown to become one of Europe's largest cloud computing companies with numerous data centers worldwide. Octave Klaba is a strong advocate for European tech sovereignty, emphasizing the importance of independence from non-European cloud giants. Key insights from the discussion between Octave Klaba and Damien GROMIER: ✔ Cloud providers face challenges due to the rapid obsolescence of #hardware and the need for continuous innovation. So, you need to have a vision for 3 to 4 years ahead, considering when the hardware you invested in will become obsolete and the investments that this will entail. But the most important part is about the #customers. One must ask why a consumer uses AI. The answer is often to reduce costs. As cloud providers, it is therefore important to implement meaningful projects, improve others, and ensure that AI makes companies and people more efficient. ✔ Europe, particularly France, has the potential to excel in developing AI models and technologies. Klaba suggested leveraging Europe's engineering talent to create innovative, customer-centric AI solutions, possibly through #open-source models. ✔ OVHcloud is working on reducing AI inference costs and developing new #AIproducts. He stressed the importance of aligning technological advancements with customer needs and business profitability to ensure long-term success. ✔ One of the key points is to make AI accessible and easy to use, like on a smartphone that helps people #adopt it quickly. This simplicity proves that AI can be accessible to everyone, which is why there's so much excitement and hype around it today. As people find AI easy to use in their personal lives, big companies will also start using it for their businesses. 🗣 “AI is fundamentally changing how we interact with technology. It's about making AI accessible and practical for businesses and individuals alike, driving innovation and efficiency across all sectors,” says Octave Klaba. 👉 Watch all the replays of the Adopt AI Summit: https://lnkd.in/eDxHcR47

[🎬 Replay of the discussion with Brune Poirson, Chief Sustainability Officer & Executive Committee Member at Accor, at the Adopt AI #Summit by Artefact] on how to combine the use of AI and environmental transition. Questions by Lucie Marchais, Project Director at Artefact 3000. 👉 Watch and get inspired by Brune Poirson on the Society stage: https://lnkd.in/e8Xup75z 📖 Read the REPORT of Adopt AI with the replays & synthesis of all keynotes & key discussion panels: https://lnkd.in/e8yj2CeN 💼 Brune Poirson, former Secretary of State for Ecological and Environmental Transition (2017-2020), is now the Chief Sustainability Officer at Accor. Poirson’s current mission is to guide Accor, a global hospitality company, toward a #sustainablemodel amidst accelerating climate change and social inequalities. Key insights from the discussion between Brune Poirson and Lucie Marchais: 🔹 For #sustainability, Accor must rethink its business model. As a leading #hospitalitycompany, it opens one hotel per day. The key challenge is shifting from a quantity-based to a quality-based model, transforming hotels into “third spaces” for work, meetings, and activities to optimize underutilized spaces. 🔹 Accor's sustainable operations focus on three areas: #waterconservation by replacing bathtubs with showers, shifting to less meat-based menus to #reducecarbon and water footprints, and promoting bicycles and trains over aviation through partnerships like the one with SNCF. 🔹 AI helps manage large environmental datasets, improve weather predictions, and enhance decision-making. It can forecast climate impacts, aiding industries in planning and adaptation, such as determining where and what type of housing to build. 🔹 For #foodwaste reduction, #AItools like connected scales help kitchens track and reduce waste by identifying patterns and improving menu planning. Predictive tools like “Full Soon” forecast guest numbers and preferences, enhancing efficiency and reducing waste. 🔹 AI enhances personalized guest experiences through advanced #chatbots, tailoring services like room temperature settings. It also frees hotel staff from repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on #guestinteraction. Accor uses AI to accelerate employee training and development, empowering staff and providing career growth opportunities. 🗣 “Increasingly, we need to move away from mitigation but really to adaptation, and that's where adaptation is a real challenge and that's where AI can really help,” says Brune Poirson. 👉 Watch all the replays of the Adopt AI Summit: https://lnkd.in/eDxHcR47
