The STRIVE consortium, comprising Acted, IMPACT and Bibliothèques Sans Frontières, was established in 2023 to help Moldovan communities prepare for and cope with natural and man-made disasters. During the project, the consortium worked with local authorities and civil society organisations to develop a disaster risk reduction strategy for Anenii Noi Raion. Watch the video of the presentation of the strategy, which was attended by His Excellency Paul Graham, Ambassador of France to the Republic of Moldova, John P. Riordan, Deputy Chief of Mission for USAID in Moldova, Vasile Gașpar, Head of Risk Prevention Department of IGSU, and Alexandru Moisei, President of Anenii Noi Raion. The project is funded by Agence Française de Développement and co-funded by USAID Moldova.

As part of the STRIVE consortium activities, Acted is supporting 41 civil society organisations through the GOCA mechanism to strengthen their capacity to respond to crisis situations. The project identifies areas for improvement in the work of local CSOs and provides tailored support. Funded by Agence Française de Développement and co-funded by USAID Moldova.

🌱 Throwback to the 3ZERO Bazaar at 3ZERO House Myanmar, promoting circular economy and fair, environmentally-friendly local products and businesses!   This event offered a unique opportunity to raise awareness about fair and sustainable initiatives through various stalls, DIY sessions, games, and snacks. A total of 12 businesses showcased their products, with over 250 people attending the event. Based on the strengths of Acted, BSF and IMPACT, the STRIVE consortium was established in 2023 to strengthen the resilience of populations affected by man-made and natural disasters in Moldova. As part of the project, Acted is providing technical support to 26 local authorities from Anenii Noi. Funded by Agence Française de Développement and co-funded by USAID Moldova.

30 ans d'action au 1er kilomètre En 2023, Acted a soutenu 27 140 332 personnes affectées par les crises dans 43 pays, en mobilisant un budget total de plus de 621 millions d'euros, avec 7 804 employés qui ont rendu possible la mise en œuvre de 580 projets humanitaires, environnementaux et de développement. 🎉 The first 3ZERO Village is open in Hatay, Türkiye! The ribbon cutting took place on Wednesday with over 150 participants, including representatives from the municipality, the private sector and INGOs such as CARE, GOAL Global, Save the Children International, UNICEF, the United Nations, and our partner Civic. A year after the earthquake that impacted more than 3 million people, this Village aims at assisting businesses and civil society organizations affected by the natural disaster, empowering vulnerable groups to advance the #3ZERO goals and promoting sustainable economic growth in the region. With an open space, a restaurant led by a women cooperative, a common garden, a playground for children and 16 eco-friendly wooden houses, the Village offers commercial spaces and operational support while advocating for a 3ZERO world: Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon and Zero Poverty. Through this Village, Acted continues to build a 3ZERO world across the globe by supporting marginalized communities and climate-smart solutions!
