Hi all,

My wife uses a 15" 2017 MBP (Model Identifier MacBookPro14,3 / Model A1707). I just noticed today that it is still on macOS Monterey 12.7.5. Any reason why I shouldn't upgrade it to Ventura and/or Sonoma? The laptop is still working fine but do know sometimes the newer OS's can be hard on the older hardware. The reason I haven't just updated is because I need to rebuy some software she uses in order for it to work on the newer OS's so thought I would check on how the new OS's are working on the older hardware as well.

Thanks,
Brian

Hmmm just did some digging and it seems like Ventura is the last version the 2017 MBP will take anyway. Sonoma isn't supported on it. All interesting, thank you both for your food for thought on this.
