So, just thinking if the M4 MacBook Pro doesn't come out till next year (2025) which is highly likely, will is also see an upgrade to an OLED screen if the iPad Pro gets an upgrade this year?
Not talking about a redesign specifically, just OLED?

Rumors are still saying 2026. 2025 is possible. If M4 machines come out later this year, then I would expect them to stick with current displays.

I was stating if the M4 models came out next year in 2025. Would they then have OLED. I’ve updated the thread title, sadly it won’t let me update the poll question. But yes rumours still claim next year, but I’m hopeful.

Also 179 views and only THREE votes? Tough crowd.

I strongly believe M4 is coming this year. So even if the displays were updated to OLED in 2025, I think it’d be with the M5.

The MacBook Pros seem to be on an annual release schedule around October/November each year (M2 models were delayed a few months). I think they’ll want to keep the base starting prices of £1,999/£2,499 for 14/16 inch, and given the £200 price increase to the 13 inch iPP moving from mini-LED to OLED, I’d suspect that they might wait till 2025 and the M5 series to make the leap.

Agree that we are likely to see M4 MacBook Pros not too long after the iPhone refresh — October/November (possibly spilling over into January if there is some kind of production issue) — it's a little too soon for OLED, we'd be hearing rumors if it was going to happen. Maybe next year, but my money is on (late) 2026. :-\

i wonder if they save OLED for 2025 M5 and then 2026 M6 gets that thinner design overhaul that’s been rumored? Then again, this leaves little to market about this year’s model. Occasionally they will just spec bump, but with this design starting to have a few years under its belt, maybe they bring OLED earlier to wow some buyers.
