***WELCOME TO SHINING LIGHT FOR CHRIST***

GROUP GUIDELINES:

1) The theme of this group is embodied in the Holy Bible, Matthew 5:14-16: 'You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.'

As believers, we are called to be the Light of the World. The Lord Jesus Christ exemplifies that light and is that light. And the darkness has never put it out. We are grateful that through our art expression, we can showcase God’s glory and shine His light into a dark, lost world.

2) IMPORTANT - Feel-good art with inspiring quotes about self-empowerment or self-accomplishment will not be accepted. Everything about this group is Christ-based, scripture-based, creation-based. The admin has the right to accept or deny any artworks submitted without notification.

3) Images may include scriptural text on the actual image or no text. Welcome images include: those that showcase God's creation as told in the Bible, Genesis 1-2; images of an apocalyptic nature regarding Christ's Second Coming and the struggle believers face in this world, the good vs. evil struggle, as related to Ephesians 6:10-17; images that honor God the Father, the son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit; images that profess the truth of scripture, standing on scripture alone, or sola scriptura; images that respect apocryphal scriptures as historical books; images that bring Christ's light to the world in a very loving, generous, but theologically sound sense; Christian, sacred art that proclaims Jesus Christ as savior of sinful mankind and giver of life eternal to those who will believe in him; art not concerned with denominational differences or disputes. As Paul the Apostle preached in Philippians 1:18, 'All that matters is that in any and every way, whether from specious motives or genuine ones, Christ is being proclaimed!' So the bottom line is, 'So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.' 1 Corinthians 10:31.

4) All mediums are accepted. Tuesdays are feature days. The admin also selects features to a Top of the Top Feature category usually weekly. Top of the Top Features have the opportunity to be asked by the admin to become a monthly group logo. So always submit your best!

5) The group discussion threads are the members' haven for prayer, support, fellowship, and encouragement. Visit them often.

6) You may upload one (1) image per day.
