A few weeks ago, our team in Poland had the privilege of donating laptops to community centers supported by the Pociecha Foundation. The heartwarming thank-you we received in return - a collage of photos and a custom mouse pad - was a true testament to the impact of our collaboration. What made this gift extra special? The artwork on the mouse pad was created by one of the foundation's own beneficiaries, showcasing the diverse talents and perspectives that thrive when we come together. This is the kind of impactful, courageous work we're proud to be a part of at Etteplan. By leveraging our expertise and capabilities, we're able to empower local communities and create opportunities that will have a lasting, positive influence. Athlete Ambassador, Nea Mattila, is the 23-year-old 2021 Finnish JR 400m hurdles champion, and current Engineering postgraduate. We recently caught up with Nea and asked her about how the season is going so far: "Greetings from Vaasa. During the past weekend, I took part in the national championships, Kalevan kisat, competing in both 400m and 200m. Fun fact, it was the first time I raced the 400m in nationals! The weekend was pretty tough with three back-to-back races. I’m happy to have finished 4th in the 400m final with tactically the best race of my career, in spite of unpredictable wind conditions. This year, nationals were unusually early due to the Olympics kicking off later in August. Unfortunately, it meant a shorter preparation period than in previous years. After the demanding 400’s I had no power left in the tank for the 200m, but it was good practice anyhow. Now I’m looking at a couple easier days and then a short training period before the next races. Recently, a 40-minute-each-half football match with 8 players on each side was held between Etteplan's Shanghai Office and Kunshan Office. Shanghai won the match with a score of 6 to 5. The match is a traditional sports competition of Etteplan China aiming to promote teamwork. Etteplan and Tammermatic have signed an engineering collaboration agreement and will start collaboration in both mechanical engineering and machine control. According to the agreement, two employees will transfer from Tammermatic to Etteplan as existing employees starting from August 1, 2024.
