Plants & Systems Engineer

The company is a global manufacturer of process technology, offering an extensive range of products from laboratory to production sized machines and complete plants. They employ over 4,000 people globally.

Their process equipment is used for wet and dry grinding, mixing, dispersing, de-aeration and classifying. Their technology is used across the world in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, minerals, and energy markets.

They now have an opportunity to join their team as a Plants & Systems Engineer with experience in design studies, specification packages, selection of supplier and installation and commissioning of plants and systems for the Chemical, Mineral and / or food industry.

The Position

• Assure the technical solution to meet the customer and internal requirements.
• Develop technical solutions on the wet or dry process on the business area of Chemical, Minerals and Food industry. This include calculation of pumps, piping, powder handling, etc.
• Process flow drawings
• Implement calculations for the dimensioning of plant components based on specified standards after consultation with suppliers
• Mass balance drawings
• P&ID
• Be part of the team to design the plant layout
• Utilities requirements
• Participate on HAZOP Studies
• Implement project design for technical lists (e.g. parts lists) taking into account the numbering system and project-related special features
• Participate on the commissioning as expertise on process
• Reporting and working closely with the Team leader and the project Manager
• Producing installation and commissioning schedules
• Completing dry and wet commissioning check
• Supervision of installation and commissioning of the plant and equipment
• Aim to spend at least 30% of working hours engaged in customer meetings, customer coordination, interactions and site visits worldwide.
• Hybrid Working: 2 or 3 days per week at the site in Terrass, the rest working from home – and up to 30% international travel to customer sites globally (Europe, North America, South America, Asia).
