📢 The United Nations Global Compact Spanish Network has published its report on the "Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Spanish companies. Results of the 2024 Sustainable Development Consultation." This report analyses the state of integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other sustainability issues of Spanish companies.   ➡️ More than 2,300 Spanish companies have been listened to, with the result that 90% of them integrate or work on some of the SDGs. #Opdenergy, as a partner of the UN Global Compact, has also participated in this consultation, sharing some of the Organization's good practices that have a direct impact on the SDGs.   ♻️ To highlight, "the production of clean energy, social commitment and reduction of emissions for a sustainable world" through the calculation of the #CarbonFootprint for scopes 1, 2 and 3 based on a verified GHG Emissions Protocol that considers the criteria and guidelines of the GHG Protocol or ISO 14064. 📢 Last week, our colleagues from the Environmental team gave a workshop on Biodiversity in Barajas de Melo (#Cuenca). ➡️ In this talk organized by the company Sembria , we discussed the Biodiversity of the habitats found in the region, and from Opdenergy, we presented to the attendees the compensatory and corrective measures we are implementing to improve biodiversity in their municipality and region. ❇️ Additionally, ideas were gathered for the design of posters in the town about biodiversity🌱, and the creation of a birdwatching🐦 route was announced. ✅ At #Opdenergy, we contribute to the sustainable development of the communities in which we operate by managing the environmental, social, and economic impact of our activities. ⬇️ If you want to see our #ESG policy regarding commitment and sustainability, please click the link below: https://lnkd.in/dF44vjhw ✳️ #OpdenergyESG #EnergizingTheFuture

💜At Opdenergy, we join the celebration of International Women in Engineering Day, which took place this past Sunday. ➡️ For this reason, our HR Director, Cristina Lucio - Villegas de Cea represented #Opdenergy at the Women and Engineering event organized yesterday by the Real Academia de Ingeniería  in the Auditorium of the Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación. The event featured the presence of the Secretary General for Innovation, Ms. Teresa Riesgo, the project director, Ms. Sara Gómez, and a round table where young female engineers discussed the future of engineering from a female perspective. 👩 We believe in the power of diversity and the incredible contributions women bring to the engineering fields. Today, we proudly share a glimpse of our team members visiting schools, inspiring young minds to explore #STEM careers, and paving the way for a more inclusive and sustainable future in the renewable energy sector. ✅ Additionally, we are proud to have almost 38% female representation in our international workforce (+1p.  📅Hoy, 21 de junio, es el #diamundialdelsol☀️ ➡️ ¿ Sabías que hasta 12 grandes ciudades españolas se encuentran entre las 30 poblaciones con más horas de sol de Europa? ✅ Actualmente Opdenergy cuenta con una capacidad operativa de generación de 680 MW, 1.090 MW en construcción que irá poniendo en operación en los próximos meses y 352 MW que empezarán su construcción en breve, convirtiéndose así en un player de cerca de 2 GW entre operación y construcción, antes de finales de 2024.  🌳 Estos proyectos evitarán unas emisiones de más de 67.000 toneladas de CO2 a la atmósfera al año, equivalente al consumo de más de 134.000 hogares. Con estos proyectos fotovoltaicos, alcanzamos los 581MW operativos sólo en #España. ➡️ A través de esta apuesta por las energías renovables, adoptamos un papel activo fundamental en la lucha contra el #cambioclimático, contribuyendo con nuestra actividad a un futuro con cero emisiones.  ✳️ #Opdenergy #EnergizingTheFuture
