Welcome to Institutional Equity, Access & Community

Located at Kingscote Gardens

Institutional Equity, Access & Community is a division at Stanford led by Patrick Dunkley, Vice Provost for Institutional Equity, Access, and Community, and is comprised of four offices: Diversity & Access, IDEAL Advancement, Ombuds, and SHARE / Title IX (Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Education). Our offices are committed to ensuring that Stanford community members thrive in a just and safe environment, free of violence and harassment, while we advance inclusion, diversity, equity and access in a learning environment (IDEAL). Collectively, our offices serve the entire campus community by engaging in four primary activities: prevention – educating our campus community on sexual violence and all forms of harassment; inclusion – promoting the implementation of goals and strategies designed to improve diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and eliminate bias through education, training and other techniques; support – providing disability accommodations and helping community members who have experienced harassment or violence; and response – problem-solving, investigating, and redressing allegations of harassment and violence.

The Office is responsible for University wide compliance of the nondiscrimination policies and equal access for individuals with disabilities.
