  • This is not true. Take the sound of a, in bank. There is no difference.

  • @Lambie This is not so: Brit. /baŋk/ , U.S. /bæŋk/ (from OED) If you want to hear the spoken forms in various accents, try the dictionary at Word Reference Forums: wordreference.com/definition/bank.
