JDownloader is an open source download manager, written in java, which allows the download of files and split files automatically. The user specified download links are split into packages to enable individual pausing and continuing of downloads. Split RAR-Archives are unpacked automatically after download.

Users in possession of paid accounts of a one-click-hoster (so called premium accounts) have the advantage of using multiple connections per downloaded file, which can accelerate the download in most cases.
