Sollenau is located in the Danube Valley. 4.03% of the municipality are forested, Much of the land are farmlands. Sollenau has an elementary school, two nursery schools, a post office and a square (platz) named Hauptplatz.

History

In Roman times, the area used to be part of Pannonia. It lies in the Lower Austrian heartland. It divided the place in the history of Austria. Sollenau was first mentioned in 1166. The area are one of the oldest settlements in Steinfeld.
