Lawyer Spotlight
Kevin S. Hennessy
Kevin S. Hennessy was elected President of ELN by its members at the 2023 Annual Meeting in Mexico City, Mexico.
Mr. Hennessy has more than 35 years of experience representing clients in the negotiation and litigation of environmental permitting and enforcement issues, land development, coastal construction matters, water rights, hazardous waste, wetland issues, property rights and eminent domain.
He represents clients before all courts in Florida, including the Florida Supreme Court, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the federal district courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court. His practice areas include Administrative, Civil and Appellate Litigation, Environmental and Natural Resources Law, Governmental Law, Land Use and Real Estate Law.
Kevin is a Martindale Hubbell AV® Rated attorney and is listed in Tampa Magazine’s 2024 Top Lawyers List. He is also listed in Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Environmental Law, Environmental Litigation and Land Use and Zoning Law. Kevin serves as President of the Environmental Law Network and is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources and the Florida Bar’s Environmental and Land Use Law Section. He is an active member of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, and is an alumni of Leadership Pinellas, and of the Florida Natural Resource Leadership Institute.
