Our Capability Development Director, Raul Rikk, highlighted the pivotal role of Estonian technology in Ukraine: "Russia is actively developing its UGV capabilities, and Europe is doing the same. We were honored to have coordinated #iMUGS1, and now we are preparing a follow-up project with our partners, each of whom is a leader in their respective field," added Rikk. The goal is to establish an unmanned ground system capable of both manned-unmanned and unmanned-unmanned teaming, providing all active units with full support on the battlefield. Additionally, our involvement in supporting Ukraine has provided invaluable real-life experience, further informing and enhancing our development efforts. We have swiftly adapted to meet the demands of the battlefield, incorporating essential feedback from Ukrainian operators. Selected from a pool of 220 candidates, these interns are eager to learn and bring fresh perspectives to our team.   In previous years, interns worked on a single project and didn't get to fully experience our team vibe. President Alar Karis, Minister of Defence Hanno Pevkur, Commander of the Defence Forces General Martin Herem, and Commander of the Defence League Major General Ilmar Tamm awarded us with the “Armed Forces Supporter“ silver award for our contribution to supporting Estonia's national defence and reservists. Our Head of the Quality Management Department, Kari Leini, accepted the acknowledgement on the company’s behalf. According to the law, employers must allow reservists working in their companies to attend training gatherings, but maintaining their income is at the discretion of the companies and organizations. We have been and will continue to maintain our employee's income while they refresh their military training. "Estonia's national security and defence depends on the contribution of the whole society. Entrepreneurs and employers who support reservists deserve recognition in society because their support for reservists helps make Estonia safer. I thank all the companies, institutions, and organizations that understand the importance of supporting reservists and call on all others with reservists among their employees to allow them to participate in reserve training gatherings while maintaining their salaries," said Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur. #MilremRobotics

The latest developments and innovative technologies in unmanned military technology: Military robots worldwide will meet at this year's European Land Robot Trial (#ELROB) in Trier, Germany. This year, we are participating with KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG and will compete in the category "Mule" to test the performance of each robot system and compare the different technical solutions. We are very excited about the competition and look forward to exciting days full of groundbreaking new technologies!

Sweden has officially joined the growing list of countries aiming to adopt robotics to boost their defence capabilities by purchasing the THeMIS Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) by #MilremRobotics, the world’s leading robotics and autonomous systems developer. The THeMIS Cargo, equipped with MIFIK—Milrem’s Intelligent Functions Kit, which enables autonomous mobility—will be used for trials and experimentations by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FMV), and the Swedish Armed Forces. THeMIS Cargo Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC) UGVs provide two capabilities: a means to effortlessly transport supplies, equipment and extra weapons to the mission area and rapid evacuation for urgent casualties from the point of injury to higher-level medical facilities. They increase the mobility of dismounted units and reduce the cognitive load of soldiers and the need for manpower usually utilised for casualty evacuation, ensuring the safety of the wounded and medical staff. Combat proven in Ukraine by the Ukrainian armed forces in the ongoing war, THeMIS UGVs are equipped with a secure Line-of-sight and Beyond Line-of-Sight communication system, enabling the operators to remain safe. Additionally, THeMIS Cargo UGVs can be enhanced with Milrem Robotics' Intelligent Functions Kit (MIFIK), making them the most capable tactical autonomous ground vehicles for fulfilling missions in extreme and complex terrains and environments. #THeMIS #UGV #MilremRobotics
