Detection of abnormal tissue in HRCT scans of the chest

Abstract

We develop tools to aid the physician in the diagnostic process of high-resolution CT (HRCT) scans of the ehest. This abstract presents a method for classifying patches of lung tissue from such scans as normal or abnormal. The Classification is performed by comparison to a set of reference cases.
