“Being a Problem Solver” Andrew Ong, Staff Engineer, works on the design of rechargeable systems in Singapore. 🦻How do we charge hearing aids, manage the energy inside them, and store and manage it for different applications? With a PhD in electrical engineering, Andrew loves improving solutions to these types of problems. “I’ve always had a penchant for being a problem solver. 🧩I don’t mind bumping into walls. I see it as a part of my development process. Solving problems is my motto, and it’s been that way since I was young. 🔬Our commitment to Innovation and Diversity: WSAudiology to build Audiology Research Centre in Asia We will build our newest Office of Research in Clinical Amplification (ORCA) in Asia at our regional headquarters in Singapore. This will be WS Audiology's third dedicated research facility following the establishment of ORCA US in 2001 and ORCA Europe in 2007.🌟Both facilities have been shining examples of advancements in hearing care and have created a legacy that ORCA Asia will build upon. ORCA Asia will conduct important research to support the development of novel hearing solutions that meet the diverse and unique needs of the region. This includes addressing the nuances of Asian languages or tailoring hearing care strategies for better outcomes.💡The facility underscores WSA's long-standing commitment to industry innovation and dedication to providing #WonderfulSoundforAll. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), this facility will play an important role as the demand for hearing care in Asia is predicted to grow with the ageing population.🦻ORCA Asia will be involved in advancing hearing aid technology to ensure that people with hearing loss have the same quality of life as those without. 💜 We can't wait to see the important work that ORCA Asia will accomplish.
