Ever since beginning our journey 16 years ago, we have had the honour of HM as patron of State of Green. “We are grateful and deeply honoured to welcome back His Majesty King Frederik X as patron of State of Green. Ever since beginning our journey 16 years ago, His Majesty – when he was Crown Prince – has joined us for various events, most recently at the Danish Pavilion at the U.N. Climate Conference, COP28 in Dubai in December 2023. We are looking forward to five more years of close collaboration with His Majesty in our efforts to showcase Danish green solutions and strengthening ties across industries worldwide,” says Finn M., Executive Director at State of Green. Denmark has optimised the use of energy since the 1970s⚡ Energy efficiency is an embedded part of Denmark’s mindset, as Denmark has worked with energy efficiency measures since the 70s. It is one of the easiest ways to eliminate energy waste, lower energy costs, and reduce the use of fossil fuels. Climate neutral shipping by 2050 🚢 Danish authorities and shipping companies are at the forefront of the green transition, pushing for climate action and ambitious global regulation towards net-zero shipping. With an ambitious call to accelerate the transition, Denmark aims for climate-neutral shipping by 2050 without the use of compensation. Join us at Green Energy Export Day 2024 🌍 Attracting over 300 export practitioners, energy advisors, and ambassadors from Danish embassies worldwide, Green Energy Export Day 2024 brings together global energy industry leaders to explore international market opportunities, exchange insights, and forge new partnerships. The event features dedicated workshops on wind energy, green hydrogen, district energy, and energy efficiency, focusing on key markets in Europe, USA, and Asia. The world’s first carbon tax on agriculture Marking a historical event, the Danish government, farming and conservation groups have in unison agreed to introduce the world’s first carbon tax on agriculture. With built-in incentives for farmers, a new green fund of EUR 5.36 billion, and a focus on nature, biodiversity, and efficient food production, Denmark aims to reduce emissions by 1.8 million tonnes of CO2e by 2030. How can Denmark inspire Singapore to forge new climate partnerships? Today, we had the pleasure of hosting the Ambassador for Climate Action, Mr. Ravi Menon, and Deputy Secretary of the Prime Minister`s Office Ms. Amelia Tang, from the National Climate Change Secretariat, Singapore, and the rest of a delegation trip exploring Denmark's public and private sector engagement in climate action plans. The visit led to many good talks on how Singapore can learn from Denmark, and vice versa, in implementing and sustaining strong public-private partnerships to accelerate green transition. The session at House of Green included presentations from Finn M., Director at State of Green, and Anne Højer Simonsen, Head of Climate Policy at Danish Industry, who shared knowledge and learnings from Denmark’s journey towards net zero. The delegation then continued their trip by meeting with other key actors from both the public and private sectors in Denmark, such as Forsikring & Pension, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, Klimarådet, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Danish Shipping, Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs and Dansk Erhverv. In 2019, the Danish government established 14 climate partnerships to develop recommendations for achieving one of the world’s most ambitious climate goals. Climate finance, partnering and investing for impact by 2030, and nature-positive Investments were only a few of a broad array of important topics discussed at the annual Climate Investment Summit in London today. A flagship event of the London Climate Action Week, it is hosted by the World Climate Foundation together w LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) and in partnership w the Climate Investment Coalition. From State of Green Denmark ‘s side, we are looking fwd to partner w World Climate Foundation during New York Climate Week and COP29 Azerbaijan to continue discussion on #climatefinance and #partnerships.

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of government officials working with energy policy from 10 different countries in the CAREC region. With the aim of exploring renewable energy adoption and grid flexibility in colder climates like Denmark, they recieved presentations from State of Green, Green Power Denmark and Ørsted on Denmark's 50 years of experience in green energy. During their Danish study tour, they also got connect with Energinet, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and HOFOR, Thank you to Asian Development Bank (ADB) for making this knowledge exchange possible. 🌱
