Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship

Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin is home to a 43-bed, Level III neonatal intensive care unit and is the main site for fellows to gain experience with a primarily inborn neonatal population. Training here focuses on antenatal consultation, high-risk delivery coordination, delivery room management, “golden hour” care and the ongoing care of micropreemies. In fall 2025, Ascension Seton’s Women’s Health Tower will expand access to Ascension Seton’s comprehensive women’s health services in Central Texas with advanced clinical services for women’s health and increased patient capacity with an 86-bed Level 3 NICU.

Dell Children’s is home to a 56-bed, Level IV neonatal intensive care unit that provides inpatient care for infants transferred for cardiac, general surgical and other subspecialty care. The program’s Comprehensive Fetal Care Center and Special Delivery Unit serves families with complex congenital anomalies seeking interventional procedures or coordination of multispecialty care.
