Cause Of Death Revealed For Jesse Jane, Adult Film Star Who Appeared In ‘Entourage,’ ‘Bad Girls Club’

A cause of death has been revealed in the death of Jesse Jane — the iconic adult film star who gained notoriety in the 2000s — and her boyfriend, Brett Hasenmueller.

According to TMZ, the Oklahoma City Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Jane and Hasenmueller died from an accidental fentanyl and cocaine overdose. Jane was 43 at the time of her passing.

Jane and Hasenmueller were found dead at a home in Moore, Oklahoma, in January after police conducted a welfare check when the couple had not been heard from in days, according to local outlet KFOR.

Jane began her career as a retail model before later signing a contract with porn production company Digital Playground in 2002. She forged a successful career as an on-air personality in the industry, with several hosting gigs including Night Calls on Playboy TV and the AVN Awards.

Her success also allowed her to pivot to mainstream television and film. Jane made a special appearance in the 2004 comedy Starsky & Hutch. She also later appeared in Entourage Season 2 and Bad Girls Club.

She also starred in the award-winning Pirates franchise, which has been dubbed the highest-budget series in the history of pornographic film, per The New York Times.

BSG Public Relations President Brian Gross praised the actress after her passing.

“Jesse Jane was a vivacious person who had an absolute and ultimate love for life,” he said in a statement, per E News. “During her time in the adult industry, of which I was able to spend wonderful moments with her, she was an incredible professional who cheered everyone on and brought sunshine to every film set she worked on.”

Jane later retired from the adult film industry and launched her own line of sex toys.

The actress always spoke fondly of her time in the industry, even noting to GQ in 2018 that she “got into porn right at the perfect time, when porn stars mattered.”

“I miss it! I always had fun performing on camera,” Jane told the outlet. “It’s great sex with great people and it always turned me on that people watched me.”
