The hamburger menu is a widely adopted UI pattern typically implemented using JavaScript, and that's what I've done in the past. However, for the last few years I've been using a CSS based version that has proved very reliable.

Recently I was looking for a way to present some information and settled on the <dialog> element - a browser native modal window that is a DOM element stylable with CSS.

Recently I was looking at native support for ES6 modules in the browser and it struck me that it was ideally set up for a progressive enhancement approach.

Tor is an anonymity network that works by routing traffic through internal nodes to mask its origin. The technical details of how this is achieved are somewhat obscure to a lay person but the principle of onion routing is what I'm going to explain in this analogy.

When I previously looked at script injected scripts it was in reference to putting the scripts in the server sent markup. Whilst this is good for our main functionality like analytics or the tag manager.
