The 3rd of July 2024 marks the launch of the first trial conducted in Italy using hydrogen at a steel plant to process steel products. The collaboration between Tenaris, Snam S.p.A., and Tenova will be carried out for six months, with the aim of evaluating the performance and reliability of using hydrogen in the steel industry and, more generally, in hard-to-abate sectors that are the most challenging to decarbonize. #greensteel #hydrogen #decarbonisation #lowemissions

Alleima, one of the world leaders in stainless steel and special alloys, has decided to calculate and present the carbon emissions data of their final products. With rising carbon dioxide emissions, pressure on companies to lower their emissions rise. Alleima has committed to reach net-zero latest 2050 and to reduce scope 1 and scope 2 CO2-emissions by more than 50%, by 2030 (compared to 2019).
