Your mission

The Senior VP Business IT is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the organization's Business Information Technology (BIT) systems and infrastructure. The VP BIT plays a critical role in aligning BIT strategies with business goals, driving innovation, and ensuring the security and efficiency of BIT operations.

This Includes

• Develop and execute the organization's overall BIT strategy aligned with its business objectives.
• Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of the ERP system, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and timeline tracking.
• Develop project milestones and deliverables, and ensure adherence to project scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Establish and manage BIT service delivery processes and standards to ensure timely and efficient support to business users.
• With the support of the Cloud infrastructure team, oversee the design, implementation, and management of BIT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure their reliability, security, and scalability.
• Establish data governance frameworks and practices to ensure data integrity, privacy, and security.
• With the support of the Security team, oversee the development and implementation of robust BIT security measures and risk management strategies to protect the organization's BIT assets, data, and systems.
• Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Develop and manage the BIT budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support BIT initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with other departments and senior management to understand their BIT needs and requirements.
• Build and lead a high-performing BIT team and provide strategic direction, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  
  

What you bring on the table

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar experience.
• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably as a IT Director.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to align IT strategies with business objectives.
• Knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in strategic planning, digital transformation, and innovation initiatives.
• Understanding of IT security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Budgeting and financial management expertise.
• Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and best practices.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
• Ability to think strategically, make informed decisions, and drive organizational change.

About Us

Rivada Space Networks is deploying the first true “OuterNET™”: a global low latency point-to-point connectivity network of LEO satellites. By connecting our satellites with lasers, we will provide resellers and B2B customers with the ability to securely connect any two points on the globe with low latency and high bandwidth. The constellations, comprising 600 low-earth-orbit communications satellites, will represent a fundamental change in the availability of secure, global, end-to-end enterprise-grade connectivity for Telecom, Enterprise, Maritime, Energy and Government Services markets. Rivada Space Networks is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rivada Networks, Inc. 

Rivada is working with Terran Orbital to manufacture and SpaceX to launch our satellites. The deployment starts in 2025 with full-service launch in 2026.
