Who we are looking for


We seek an exceptional leader with a proven track record in professional consultancy services management. The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen, executive presence, and a service-oriented mindset. They should demonstrate the ability to drive financial performance, lead organizational growth, and maintain high-quality service delivery. The VP of Services must excel in strategic planning, operational management, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. This role is based in Berlin. 


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the Services Pillar in alignment with the overall goals of The Delta Group.
  • Drive the development and execution of business plans to achieve financial targets, enhance market position, and deliver high-quality services.
  • Ensure organizational excellence to effectively drive the vision and business goals, collaborating with other pillar leaders for cross-functional alignment.
  • Mentor and provide visionary leadership to the services leadership teams, setting clear objectives and direction aligned with the overall goals of the Services Consultancy Pillar.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence within each team, inspiring team members to push boundaries and explore new opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth to maximize their potential and contribution to the Services Consultancy Pillar's success.


Financial Performance:

  • Take ownership of the financial performance of the Services Pillar, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost management.
  • Develop and monitor financial budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to identify areas of improvement and implement strategies for revenue optimization and cost efficiencies.


Business Development and Sales:

  • Lead business development efforts to drive revenue growth and expand the client base for professional services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to enhance service portfolio and market reach.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients, industry influencers, and stakeholders to drive business growth and customer loyalty.


Service Quality and Positioning:

  • Set and maintain high standards for service quality across all professional services offered by The Delta.
  • Develop and implement processes and methodologies to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Regularly assess and improve service offerings, aligning them with client needs, industry best practices, and emerging trends.


Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the operational aspects of the Services Consultancy Pillar, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and streamline service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance within the division.


What you’ll need


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, or related field; master's degree advantageous.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in the professional services industry, preferably overseeing large teams or divisions.
  • Proven track record in driving financial performance, revenue growth, and operational excellence.
  • Experience in strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management.
  • Deep understanding of product development, corporate venture building, and innovation processes.
  • Prior experience in budgeting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with startups, businesses, and corporations across various industries and stages of development.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams, foster collaboration and innovation, and drive results.
  • Exceptional executive presence and business acumen.
  • Service and service-sales mindset.
  • Strong leadership, management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication, coordination, and project management abilities.
  • Capacity for multitasking and promoting efficiency at all levels.
  • Ability to lead a 150-person service organization and scale it to 250 people while maintaining high profitability.
