Vice President (f/m/d) of Business Strategy Grid Technologies

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Vice President of Business Strategy is responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision and direction of Siemens Energy Grid Technologies. The Vice President of Business Strategy will work closely with the Executive board, senior management team, the execution units, the corporate strategy & sustainability team, the regional Grid Technologies units, the Sales and PRM teams to identify key strategic initiatives for the business, optimize the financial performance, enhance customer satisfaction, drive the implementation of the sustainability agenda and improve the employee experience in Grid Technologies.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Leading the development and implementation of the business strategy for Siemens Energy Grid Technologies, aligning it with the overall Siemens Energy vision and goals
• Analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives and opportunities
• Defining and monitoring key business performance indicators and metrics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the business strategy
• Managing and coordinating cross-functional teams and projects to execute the business strategy and deliver value to the customers and the organization as well as orchestrating the implementation and monitoring of Grid Technologies sustainability agenda
• Communicating and presenting the business strategy and results to the Siemens Energy executive board (in coordination with the corporate strategy team), the Grid Technologies Leadership team and to the broader Grid Technologies organization
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners, including customers, suppliers, regulators, industry associations, and other relevant parties
• Providing leadership, guidance, and coaching to the business strategy team and foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and customer focus
• Crafting and sharing a strategic vision aligned with long-term goals, communicating it across the organization to align team efforts with broader objectives, continuously analyzing portfolio optimization opportunities, and exploring and identifying strategic partnerships and M&As for growth and competitive advantage
• Empowering data-informed strategy by adopting continuous competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions with current trends and forecasts, integrating data analysis frameworks for organizational agility
• Championing environmental and safety leadership by strategically directing environmental and safety standards to ensure compliance, promote sustainability, and cultivate a safety-first culture
• Leading innovation and sustainability efforts by driving the organization’s innovation and sustainability goals, setting ambitious targets and empowering teams to implement specific initiatives for innovative growth
• Directing strategic marketing efforts by managing the organization’s marketing strategy and brand positioning to reflect the strategic vision, targeting audiences effectively to strengthen market presence
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Master's degree in engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience in business strategy, management consulting, or related roles in the energy sector
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies and delivering results
• Senior leadership skills to motivate and inspire teams within and outside direct teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills as well as excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, dynamic, and multicultural environment
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented
• Willingness to travel internationally as required
