As a Third-Party Vendor Manager (m/f/d), your primary responsibility is to oversee and monitor the goods, services, or activities provided by our critical third-party partners and identify any associated risks. You will ensure compliance with outsourcing and third-party policies and provide support to local vendor managers. Additionally, you will collaborate with dedicated second-line defense functions to strengthen operational resilience. The position is based in Frankfurt, Germany.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establishing, managing, and supporting the development and implementation of third-party vendor management policies and frameworks, considering regulatory impacts.
  • Actively managing contractual processes and relationships with critical third-party vendors, including regular governance reviews and internal impact assessments.
  • Ensuring negotiated costs are charged correctly, consistently, and maintained at a reasonable level.
  • Supporting the onboarding processes of third parties, conducting due diligence, and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Conducting ongoing supplier benchmarking, financial and risk assessments, and managing issues.
  • Reviewing and collating supplier/materiality questionnaires.
  • Designing and implementing monitoring and reporting processes for various groups and internal committees.
  • Preparing due diligence reports with recommendations for internal committees.
  • Completing required reporting on supplier performance and third-party risks.
  • Collaborating with Business Process Owners to produce Exit Plans aligned with strategy.
  • Monitoring third-party relationships, identifying risks, and coordinating mitigation efforts with subject matter experts.
  • Supporting the Legal function in managing new and renewal contracts.
  • Liaising with the Risk function to escalate and manage supplier risk-related issues.
  • Collaborating with dedicated second-line defense functions to strengthen operational resilience.

Your Profile

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Business Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in outsourcing and third-party risk management practices.
  • Proven commercial experience in supplier/vendor management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory outsourcing and third-party risk management requirements.
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust internally and externally.
  • Understanding of Operational Resilience and vendor-related regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with business process workflows.
  • Time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural inclination to find pragmatic solutions.
  • Ability to present findings at a high level and report to stakeholders across functions.
  • Confidence in challenging existing processes and providing well-reasoned justifications.
  • Fluent proficiency in German and English.
  • Passion for driving the bank towards greater efficiency.
