Technical Writer

As the Technical Writer (English and German), your primary mission is to empower users to harness the full potential of our flagship product, MIRAI, an AI-powered vision system for robots. Your core responsibility is to create comprehensive, user-friendly content that guides them through every aspect of utilizing this innovative technology. Through meticulous documentation, clear instructions, and engaging materials, you will ensure that users can seamlessly integrate MIRAI into their operations and maximize its benefits. Leveraging your fluency in both English and German, you will craft compelling narratives that resonate with our user base of engineers, enabling them to unlock new levels of productivity and efficiency.

In this dynamic role, you will enjoy ample creative freedom, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all communication channels. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with our robotic systems in our in-house robotics lab, gaining firsthand insights into their functionality and applications. To excel in this position, you will combine your linguistic expertise with a passion for technology and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including user manuals and in-app content
• Translate technical content from English to German and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and consistency in terminology and style
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure written content is aligned and consistent company-wide
• Conduct research and interviews with subject matter experts to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly documentation
• Continuously improve documentation processes and standards to enhance the user experience and streamline workflows

Requirements

• Extraordinary written and spoken communication skills in English are required (C2). Preference will be given to candidates whose native language is English.
• Proficiency in German (B1-B2 level).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English, with keen attention to detail.
• Fast learner with a willingness to acquire knowledge in technology.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Samples of written or visual communication about technology.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in documentation tools and software.

Nice-to-Haves

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the software development or technology industry.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools.
