Technical Engineer & Site Assessment Expert

Our client is a global leader in onshore and offshore wind energy and photovoltaics. They are seeking a Technical Engineer & Site Assessment Expert to join their Project Development Team in Hamburg.

You will be the main contact for technical questions in connection with PV project in Germany.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure internal engineering tasks are implemented and managed project-specific
• Planning and designing PV systems (component selection, layout, and design)
• Conducting technical risk analysis and identifying risk mitigation strategies
• Assessing the technical feasibility of possible project locations.
• Planning and coordinating the construction and running expenditures, as well as calculating and optimising them, and creating the necessary budgets
• Developing and refining the technical concept for the grid connection
• Calculating and modelling technical and economic solutions and optimising them
• Participating in the technical documentation for component procurement and BoS
• Identifying the suitable solar radiation source (ground station, satellite data)
• Organising, carrying out, and standardising internal yield computations, including pertinent losses and uncertainties
• Examining authorization needs in light of emission control laws and educating co-workers on emission control laws and operational limitations.

Your Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master's course in engineering, environmental sciences, energy technology, physics, meteorology, geography, or another field of engineering
• Technical engineering background experience, as well as site and energy yield assessment experience for PV projects.
• Proficiency using PVsyst, PVcase, and GIS systems.
