Optibus seeks to make public transportation better, together. To do this, we provide innovative SaaS solutions for public transit planning, scheduling, and operations. We are looking for a Technical Consultant to join our Global Customer Success team.


About the Customer Success Team

Our customers are transit agencies and transit operations providers. The Customer Success team serves them by providing best-in-class onboarding, training, and support with the Optibus platform and its evolving product features. Our goal is for every Optibus customer to thrive in their use of the platform and ensure an impactful, long-lasting relationship together.


About the Position

As subject matter experts in both Optibus and public transit, the Technical Consultant couples technical and customer relationship capabilities helping customers meet their objectives via the Optibus platform by delivering impact at the earliest opportunity.


Specifically, the Technical Consultant will:


  • Manage SaaS implementations of Optibus, overseeing the configuration, data migration and onboarding users through training, providing customer support both new and those expanding
  • Help customers meet their goals by enabling value within the Optibus platform
  • Handle customer escalations interacting with other Optibus departments such as Global Support, Product and Revenue teams
  • Become an expert in Optibus, continuously learning the product, new modules and features
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with our customer base, especially the main Optibus user teams
  • Be the voice of the customer within Optibus, influencing and shaping the future of the Optibus platform
  • Contribute to the growth and maturation of the Customer Success team, including developing best practices, process improvements and knowledge sharing
  • Represent Optibus at external meetings and industry events
  • Meet customer on their premises and at Optibus offices, where appropriate


Requirements

This position is ideal for someone who possesses the following:

  • 3+ years experience in a customer-facing role within implementation, consultancy or as a project manager
  • Experience training / teaching customers
  • Relevant technical background, either educational or based on work experience with a proven track record of excellence
  • Outstanding proven analytical skills and data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to diverse audiences
  • Able to communicate effectively in both online and in-person meetings, including presentations and written documentation
  • Experience successfully working in distributed teams using video conferencing tools across across time zones
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Professional working fluency in English and German (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese a bonus)



It would be great if you also have experience

  • In SaaS deployment and integration
  • In public transportation planning and/or scheduling
  • Being technically savvy (eg SaaS config, possibly have basic scripting skills) or an appetite to develop in this area, however this role does NOT require hands on coding skills
