Team Lead - Key Account Management Trading (f/m/d)

Your area of work

The Key Account Management Trading unit is responsible for operational and customer relationship management as well as onboarding Exchange Members of Eurex Deutschland and Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Understanding of multiple asset classes, trade workflows, regulations, products, and operational set-ups while building meaningful client relationships represent the essential fields of this team’s activity. The Key Account Managers act as interface between the member and internal Deutsche Börse Group departments, such as Business Development, Legal, Compliance and our operational support teams, while handling daily issues, supporting members with their obligations, and proactively managing internal and market driven changes. Provision of in-depth prospect consultations as well as onboarding and coordinating member change cases most effectively will be essential to ensure time to market is kept at a minimum.

Your Responsibilities


  • You will be leading a decentralized team of a dozen employees, new joiners as well as experienced team members. The team members are located in Frankfurt, Prague, London, Paris, Zug and Chicago.
  • You will be required to show strong people management skills, retain a positive attitude, even in stressful situations.
  • You will make yourself familiar with the actual job performed by the individual employees and ensure fulfilment of the Units mandates in line with the people principles of Deutsche Boerse AG.
  • You will be the first escalation contact towards the members in daily BAU issues.
  • You will provide structure and guidance to the team members to ensure effective resource allocation, team building and people development.
  • You will design, maintain, and improve existing processes to ensure the daily mandates are covered most efficiently.
  • You will have or obtain relevant expertise with public law in Germany, as well as the regulatory environments (i.e. MIFID 2) our member firms operate in.


Your profile


  • You have a university degree, preferably in business administration, economics or finance.
  • You have at least 5+ year relevant industry experience, preferably in a prior leadership role.
  • You have strong analytical skills and project management experience.
  • You are able to motivate others and to continuously create a positive work environment for the team members.
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt and respond calmly to constant challenges.
  • You will be able to interpret information derived from client conversations in order identify trends and opportunities to support continuous growth for our business.
  • You will have a strong customer service ethos, focus on client satisfaction and be able to proactively solve client issues when they occur.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, German is a plus.
