The International School Braunschweig-Wolfsburg was founded in 2004 and supports grades 1 - 12 as well as a Reception Class. It is a state-recognized supplementary school according to

• 161 of the Lower Saxony School Law, the school language is English. The International School Braunschweig - Wolfsburg is accredited as a CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) School and as an IB (International Baccalaureate) World School. In the Primary School, in the Secondary I School (Years 6 - 8) and in the Secondary II School (Years 9 & 10), students work according to the Cambridge Program and graduate with the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). In Years 11 and 12, the school works offers the International Baccalaureate Organization. The Senior School is completed with the IB Diploma Programme. The International School Braunschweig - Wolfsburg sees itself as a school where children from all over the world, whose families move to the Braunschweig region for professional or private reasons, find their place. For German students, the school offers a comprehensive and rigorous education that helps to prepare students professionally and academically in an ever changing, more globalized world. Roles and Responsibilities

• Preparation, implementation and follow-up of subject lessons in mathematics and physics or chemistry up to grade 10
• Assessment and evaluation of student performance
• Participation in teacher conferences and team meetings
• Use digital media in the classroom
  
  

Pre-requisite Qualifications / Key Characteristics

• Relevant teaching degree or licensure or comparable qualification
• Proficiency in the English and German language, both written and spoken
• Ability to work in a team
• Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Creative Problem Solving and "Thinking out of the box"
• Assertiveness
• Resilience
• Membership in a Christian church that belongs to the Association of Christian Churches (ACK) in Germany preferable
