System Engineer

Job objective

• The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, administering and securing servers and system components to achieve high availability and performance of business applications. This position plays a key role in the technical planning, implementation and operation of our IT infrastructures.

Main tasks

• Installation, configuration and maintenance: Install and configure server systems, including OS (operating systems), business applications, security tools, network, etc.
• Monitoring and optimization: Monitor system performance and carry out optimizations to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Security: Implement IT security policies (ISO-27001), including access management, backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Technical support: Provide level 2 and 3 support to resolve complex and recurring incidents.
• Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation on system architecture and operating procedures.
• Innovation projects: Participate in research and development projects to integrate new technologies into the existing environment.

Skills and qualifications required

• Degree in computer science or related field.
• Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare, Proxmox, Nutanix) and cloud computing solutions (AWS).
• Good command of networks and security (Firewall, VLAN, Routing, Certificates).
• Mastery of Linux and MacOS operating systems
• Ability to script (Bash, Python).
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent in French and English, German a plus.
