Job Description:

We are looking for a Supply Chain Director to manage and optimize the supply chain operations of our client. This role offers the flexibility of remote work within Germany, with required travel to five key sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, development, and management of supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and superior service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the client’s business goals.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, distribution, and logistics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as purchasing, sales, and operations to ensure seamless operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
• Manage the budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Oversee the implementation and use of supply chain technologies and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the retail industry.
• Proven track record of successful supply chain strategy development and implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and technologies.
• Fluency in German and English.
