Business Unit

This position is part of our Safety Business Unit. Safer, more sustainable and more integrated production and transport systems are its goals.

Location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we support Airbus Helicopters in developing helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield

Task Description

  • Performing static calculations and lifecycle analysis for metallic components using analytical methods and FE analysis
  • Evaluating quality reports and construction deviations
  • Providing evidence of repairs and changes in the production process
  • Answering to customer questions and investigating occurrences or incidents from operations

The work task requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed course of study with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of aeronautical engineering. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways.

Competence & Expertise

  • The work task requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed course of study with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of aeronautical engineering or equivalent. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways.
  • Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
  • First experience as a stress engineer
  • Experience with standard analytical methods (e.g. HSB, Bruhn, ESDU, Roark & Young)
  • Knowledge of FE-tools (Hypermesh, Optistruct, NASTRAN, ABAQUS)
  • Experience with structural and life time analysis
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Very good communication skills
  • Proactive and autonomous
  • Well structured
  • Willingness to travel domestically and abroad

Language skills: fluent in written and spoken German and English (at least B2)
