Sr. Manager, Power and Flexibility Trading Europe (m/f/x)

NIO Power is a mobile internet-based power solution with extensive networks for battery charging and battery swap facilities. Enhanced by Power Cloud, it offers a power service system with chargeable, swappable and upgradable batteries to provide users with power services catering to all scenarios.

We are looking for the Senior Manager Power and Flexibilty Trading. In this role, you will become a member of NIO Power Europe Team. You will develop the power flexibility trading strategy and products for EVs and EV infrastructures including but not limited to power trading strategies, power balancing market, Virtual Power Plant (VPP), Vehicle to Grid (V2G), and V2X.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analysis and exploration of the energy storage sector within the European energy and flexibility market.;
• Formulate strategies and devise products tailored for power trading and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) business models, leveraging charging and swapping infrastructure;
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations and qualifications, while fostering internal team development;
• Collaborate with the Research and Development team to enhance and expand capabilities for power trading and ancillary services across Europe.;
• Evaluate operational aspects of the power trading business and provide insights to assist the management board in decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above, related to electrical engineering and technology background;
• More than 5 years working experience, with more than 3 years of power trading, forecasting, balancing, ancillary service, VPP and other energy services;
• Strong ability for project management, project reports and team work;
• Strong interest in the energy market and entrepreneurship;
• Fluent in English and German languages.
