Service Technician E-Support (m/f/d) in Asia

We are looking for you as a Service Technician E-Support (m/f/d) for our location in Thailand.

Your Tasks

• Provide remote troubleshooting assistance to customers via remote connection, emails, and phone calls.
• Assess issues that cannot be resolved remotely and decide whether to travel to the customer site for hands-on troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to: drives, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), sensors, valves, and basic mechanical and process
• Collaborate with internal or intercompany teams to assist customers in resolving technical issues.
• In the event of machine breakdown, clarify and document causes, assess the scope of damage/repair, determine corrective actions, and execute them in accordance with specifications.
• Evaluate the technical condition of equipment and systems, providing preventive maintenance advice to customers when necessary.
• Promote service products including modifications, spare parts, field services, training, audits, maintenance, and overhauls.
• Ensure timely creation and submission of reports upon task completion.
• Oversee Installation and Commissioning of blown film line.

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or be a certified electrician.
• Experience in field service or maintenance, ideally with blown films or similar plastic processing machinery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in understanding, reading, and writing in both English and the local language.
• Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills, maintaining composure and clarity when interacting with customers in stressful situations.
• Capable of reading and comprehending electrical, mechanical and pneumatic diagrams.
• Possess hands-on experience in troubleshooting and testing machine modules.
• Have a strong understanding of PLCs, drives, and sensors from major manufacturers such as ABB and Siemens.
• Ability to read and interpret PLC code.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Solution-oriented and independent way of working.
