We are hiring a Quantitative Developer in our team. This position is based in Frankfurt.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quantitative models and algorithms that drive our investment strategies. You will work with quantitative analysts and portfolio managers to translate complex mathematical models into robust, efficient code.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain programming libraries for quantitative analysis
• Create and optimize numerical library components for high-performance computing
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts to research and implement quantitative models
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in quantitative analysis
• Consult on optimization and strategy for investment strategies initiatives
• Perform performance tuning of financial models and libraries
• Support the front, middle, and back-office functions with quantitative tools and analysis
• Partner with investment teams to implement original ideas into their products
• Remain connected to the broader quantitative community by partnering with internal and external collaborators and participate in relevant conferences
• Report and present findings and developments clearly and efficiently, both internally and externally, verbally and in writing
  
  

What You Bring

Required:

• Several years of experience in independently developing and deploying quantitative and statistical models
• Prior experience in a quantitative role within a financial firm
• Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and investment strategies
• Experience with model validation and risk management
• Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operation research, or a related field
• Advanced training in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance/Financial Engineering or a related field
• Mathematical or statistical modeling background
• Demonstrated empirical skill, comfortable with analysis of large datasets
• Experience solving investment problems through the use of technology and fundamentals
• Previous exposure to a quantitative developer role with exposure to equity factor models
• Experience using statistical packages (e.g. Matlab, R) and experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python, C/C++)
• Experience with cloud environments and multi-machine setups
  
  

Preferred:

• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles
• Experience with numerical computing and statistical analysis
• Familiarity with database systems and data management tools (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
• Excellent team player with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and teams to gather inputs and meet requirements
• Work with Portfolio Managers and Risk Managers to understand and incorporate risk metrics and methodologies within the investment process
• Stay up to date on the latest academic and industry research and challenge yourself to improve the way things are done
• Ability to work effectively in an international setting
